Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to turn a spreadsheet into an app?

Our fixed package is $1,500 for one spreadsheet with up to 5 tabs, up to 8 screens and 2 user roles, delivered in 7 days on Bubble.io. Larger spreadsheets, more user roles, client logins, integrations or complex automation cost more, and the calculator shows an estimate for your situation.

How do I know if my spreadsheet has outgrown itself?

Common signs are several people editing the same file, confusion over the latest version, broken formulas, customer data in a shared file, no record of changes, and hours lost to copy-pasting. The calculator puts a yearly cost and a risk level on these.

Is it always worth replacing a spreadsheet with an app?

No. If only one or two people use a small spreadsheet and little time is lost, a full app is hard to justify. The calculator tells you honestly when to keep your spreadsheet or start with simple automation instead.

What are the running costs of a web app?

A domain costs around $10 to $20 a year, and Bubble hosting starts from around $30 a month, rising for apps with more users, integrations or heavy automation. The calculator subtracts these from your savings.
