Our journey

From a final-year idea to a product studio

SAS began as an idea between two electrical engineers in their final year. Here is how it grew.

1. 2017

   The idea

   SAS is conceptualised by two electrical engineers in their final year of university, Athar Ahmad and Aqib Hussain, with a simple goal: make automation accessible and practical.

2. January 2018

   Work begins

   The team starts developing automation products, turning the idea into its first real projects.

3. February 2020

   First office

   SAS opens its first on-site office.

4. August to October 2020

   Selected for acceleration

   SAS is selected for the acceleration programme of Accelerate Prosperity and graduates from the International Certificate in Entrepreneurship (ICE) 2020, refining its business and financial models.

5. 2020

   OIC Kazan finalist

   SAS makes it to the final stage of the 8th OIC Kazan Entrepreneurship Forum.

6. November 2020

   A fresh start

   The first office closes, and SAS restarts from a new location.

7. December 2020

   Incorporated

   SAS is incorporated with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as Simple Automation Solutions (Pvt) Ltd.

8. 2021

   Services expand

   SAS expands into website development, application development and product development.

9. November 2022

   Fully remote

   SAS moves to a fully remote operating model, working with clients and collaborators across countries.

10. 2026

    A Bubble.io product studio

    Founder Athar Ahmad becomes a certified Bubble.io developer. SAS builds SaaS products, marketplaces and mobile apps for founders worldwide, alongside its own products, and trains individuals and teams in AI, Bubble.io and WordPress.

Led by its founder

Athar Ahmad, Founder and CEO

Athar leads SAS and works directly with founders on every product. He is a certified Bubble.io developer, and before SAS he was Team Lead at Startup.pk, where he worked with entrepreneurs and startups across Pakistan.

SAS was co-founded by Athar Ahmad and Aqib Hussain. Aqib was part of SAS in its early years and has since moved on.
